Papua New Guinea is a Christian country but Christian books are a luxury. There is a very small range available to buy locally but many of these are very expensive. Virtually none of the books at Koorong are available in PNG. Here in Australia, we’re blessed to have large collections.
English is compulsory in PNG schools with the national literacy rate sitting at 75%. There are literally hundreds of thousands of Christians, able to read and hungry to sink their teeth into His Word but simply have very little or nothing in the way of Christian literature to read.

“PNG still has a lot of carry on with Covid so I still haven’t been back since March. However my container will still be going regardless and I now have over 16,000 books and bibles on the way to 22,000.”
